Leesil and his companions — his beloved Magiere, the sage Wynn, and their canine protector, Chap. they still face the perils of the Elven Territories, a culture of tranquil beauty, savage customs, and deep-rooted hatred and fear of all humankind.
The thing that stands out the most to me (Other than the tightness of the pants ) is how the walking of the elves really looks animated to me. I feel like I can see the motion, and infer the exact shape of the unseen part of the little hill the elves are walking up
When I saw this as a thumbnail in my devwatch box in the realm of fantasy club I instantly recognized it as Leesil, Magiere, Wynn, and Chap! I dropped my jaw! This has to be the most beautiful--and one of the most accurate--fanarts/artworks for The NobleDead Saga!!! Absolutely breath-taking and a perfect depiction!!!!!!!
Great series. I am a huge elf fan, so at first I was surprised by the way ND portrayed them, but I still like them. I find it interesting that they practice ancestral worship as oppose to deities, like in most stories. I bought Dog in the Dark, but haven't read it yet. Beautiful picture!
Love, I'm trying to contain all of the gushing I want to do over this picture. Love this so much I sat and took a long look at this and tried to figure out who everyone was, is the elvish girl Wayfarer (Leanaalhaam)? Who are the elves that are approaching the the group? I love this so much, are you going to do more from the series?
Yes, You’re right. It’s Leanaalhaam (it was difficult for me to find how her name sounds on English). I'll try to write correctly the names of elves. In the center is Sigil, to his left Brotan and Osh. But with the right side will be more difficult. Elf girl is the one who always hated Leesil for he has killed her lover.
I thought so. All the elves have such long names with so many difference accents on the vowels I have a hard time pronouncing them too. Leanaalhaam's name is difficult I'm a major nerd and have read the appendices in the Lord of the Rings and the marks over the a's in her name signal that the letter should be considered long. The elf-girl's name is En'nish. Are you planning any more drawings from the book series or just the two?
Of course I know you))) I spend so much time on your site! I wanted to express my admiration of a series of books about Magiere. Now here I can say is thank you. It is a pity that in Russia do not release a sequel, but I continue to hope that a miracle will happen.
Yes, it would be nice if the Russian publisher would pick up the rights to more of the saga's books. Unfortunately, authors have no say in this when contracted to professional USA publisher. Still, it was wonderful to have one of our other fans point us to your work.
Hopefully you don't mind, but I placed this image into my personal FaceBook banner... but I also included linkage in comments to point everyone back to your entry here on DA.
